Fan Fest 2011

It has been a while, but I wanted to post these fun pictures of the kids at Fan Fest. This was such a fun day. We went to SafeCo Field with the Yetter Family and had a blast! Rigdon of course loved every minute of it, because it involved balls, bats, and gloves. We got to go out on the Mariner Field, run the bases, hit the ball around with some players, and finished the day at our Favorite Red Mill. Lots of Fun!

Happy Snow in Feb!!!

Because we are in Washington and we don't see snow that much we actually like to see snow in February. We have had a couple of inches and the kids have loved it. It has been so much fun to have some snow on the ground to play in, eat, and of course snuggle up inside and watch some fun movies and have hot cocoa!!!

Madilynn turns 2/DEC 2010

Our Poor Sick Princess

Despite feeling sick on her birthday she sure was a trooper. We had no cake, no party, but we still had a fun day. Madi was able to dress up and be a princess even though she had strep throat. What a sweetie! She had such a fun time, playing dress up and opening presents. We love our little Madilynn. She is such a sweet little thing, it was fun to cuddle up with my little one and love her all day long.

Rigdon Turns 4 /NOV. 2010

Check out This SMILE.

Rigdon had such a special day! It was a fun and full day of Dragons. Rigdon wanted a party with his friends so badly, so we were brave and invited his preschool buddies plus a few more to come to the church for a fun DRAGON party. I can't believe that our little baby boy is now 4. He is growing up so much. He loves to learn, and is too smart for his own good. We started out the morning with a big breakfast, then his friend party, playing with toys, nap time because we were all wore out, and then went to the Panda Store for his favorite dinner. He had such a fun day.

Fun Fall Crafts

FALL CRAFTS
These crafts were so fun and easy to make.
I was so proud how they turned out so I had to share!

Got this idea from Make it and Love it.

Found this one on a cute blog, but I can't remember where. . .

I will be sad when Fall is over, and I have to take them down.

Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween. Rigdon was a ferocious tiger, and Madilynn a sweet little Monkey. Trever and I even got to dress up this year. Halloween sure was different on a Sunday around here. We had our Trunk or Treat on Saturday. The kids got a lot of candy and had fun at the carnival before. We also got to have an afternoon together as a family, playing pumpkin games. We balanced pumpkins on our heads, played pumpkin bowling, made ghost crafts, and then watched Monster's Inc.

Sunday was a great time too. We went to the Yetter's and had a chili dinner. Trever of course smoked up some mean, hot chili. Too spicy for all of us. Even Trever's Gut was rumbling that night. (Sorry Brenna for the crazy heat). We had a great weekend.

The Little Red Coat

The pictures say it all. . .

I love my sweet girl in her Little Red Coat

Spooner Farms 2010

Another year rolls around, for another trip to the Spooner Farm. . .

We had so much fun going to the pumpkin farms this year. We have made it three times, twice to spooner and once to scholtz. The kids loved all of the fun animals, spiders, duck races, sawdust hills, and of course the pumpkins.

Sisters Weekend

Happy 60th Birthday MOM!!!

As you can see, we had a great time!!! It was so great to get away for just a weekend, and visit the family. I truly LOVE being with my Mom and sisters. They are such great women. I am so grateful that I am the last of all of them. I have been able to learn and grow from each one of them. They are always there to offer me advice, and an example of how to be a great mother, wife, crafter, cook, and friend. I love you all!!! Thanks for a great weekend!

Blessed

After coming home from the General RS meeting the other night, I feel so blessed. It really made me Count My Many Blessings.

* I have a husband who LOVES me for who I am.
* I am lucky enough to be called a Mom.
* I am blessed to stay home and be a mother to 2 beautiful and healthy children.
* I have food, shelter, and warmth to come home to every day.
* I am so lucky that I don't have to travel 28 hours to go to the temple.
* I have a living prophet to lead and guide my family.
* I am so blessed that I have a husband who loves me, and honors his priesthood.
* I am blessed that Trever has a job and we have enough money to pay the bills.
* I have 2 working cars that get us to where we need to go.
* I am blessed to have family and friends who give us love and support.

These are just a few of the many blessings that I have. I hope I can show my Heavenly Father that I am grateful for all of these things. They make life bearable and full of joy.

Chloe the Dog(s)

So, if you can't tell by the picture we now have a couple of pets at our house. Two dogs, obviously that are both named CHLOE. The past few weeks Rig and Madi have been playing "Pet Dog" with this stuffed Giraffe, and Dog. They find ribbons for leashes, and headbands for collars, and then my absolute favorite is that they deck out their dogs with hair bows, and flower clips. These two will play for hours, just decorating up their Chloe's. It is so much fun to watch, and listen to what they say. Madi has even started saying Chloe and wants to take the "Dogs" where ever we go.

I just love IMAGINATIONS!

1st Day of PRESCHOOL (2010-2011)

Rigdon is going to preschool for the second year in a row. We are so excited about this years Co-op. We have 8 kids in it this year. This time, with a lot more girls. Which I, PERSONALLY am very excited about. It will be great to have a new calming influence on Rigdon. (I HOPE)

Rigdon could not wait to go to preschool this year. I think that he asked for about two weeks, "Is preschool today? or Am I going to go to preschool?" He has had a blast so far and is loving the new Show and Tell this year. He got to share the first week about Alligators. Trever and Rigdon researched all about them and found out that the largest alligator ever recorded is 19 feet 2 inches tall. So Trever thought it would be fun to measure out a string that was that long and take it to school. Rigdon just loved it! I am so happy that Rigdon likes school, I just hope that it is like this every year!

Brace Face, Metal Mouth, and any other name you can think of.

Yesterday I was at the park and a little girl said, "Are you the mom of these kids?"
I replied, "Yes, don't I look like a Mom?"
Then she informed me that:

Most Mommies Don't Have Braces!!!!

Thank you Park girl for informing me, I was out of the loop! Yes I now have braces and I am already wishing that the year and a half was over. Hopefully it will go by fast. Besides the fact that I now have my Daughter starring at my face, and pointing, and my little boy has decided to become the food police, letting me know what I can and cannot eat, things are just GRAND!

The Bite, SAM Sculpture Park, and The Ballard Locks

We went to "The Bite" of Seattle last weekend and Trever got to meet one of his Idols: Tom Douglas. He had a great little chat with him, asked him about his wild boar at Serious Pie and Thanked him for the t-shirt. He was such a down to earth guy, and his dish was of course the family favorite of the day. Crab stuffed sausage with some grilled corn, with a hint of mint. I should have let Trever explain it, I am sure it would have been more accurate and more appetizing. This is one thing that we don't want to miss when it rolls around. If you haven't been it is worth the trip!

After "The Bite" We headed to SAM Sculpture park. We had lots of fun at the beach there. It was a little rocky but the kids had a blast throwing rocks in the Sound. There was a lot of different but cool sculptures to see to, it was so beautiful to just walk along the Sound.

Cute family picture at the entrance.
Riggy throwing rocks into the Sound, wearing his lovely boots! Of all the shoes he has, he picked these to wear today! Trever and I were both just dying at this choice, because it was going to be really hot day. But, it was actually a good idea after all because it kept his feet pretty dry!
Trever was a good sport, I made him pretend to go "running" with this sculpture!
Check out how fast he is!

THE BALLARD LOCKS
This was such a great place! It was fascinating to see the boats go up and down with the water change. One of the worker told us that the level can change in just 15 minutes. It was amazing to watch. I kept telling Trever that my Dad would love this. I can't believe that this was our first visit. We will have to go back for sure.
(We will have to make it on our list of places to take visitors!)

Madi kept saying "shishy" She loved the fish in the Salmon Ladder. We had to pry both the kids away from the exhibit. They could have stayed there all day watching them.
